Charge At Tesla Superchargers BMW 2025 | ShortsCars

To charge your BMW at a Tesla Supercharger, use the Tesla app, find a "Magic Dock" (adapter built-in) or use your own NACS adapter, select the stall in the app, plug in, and start charging. Remember to stop charging in the app and unlatch the adapter to finish, but be aware that cable length and adapter availability vary by location.

Steps to Charge
Get the Tesla App: Download the Tesla app (version 4.2.3 or later) and create a Tesla account.
Find a Compatible Station: Use the Tesla app to locate Supercharger sites. Look for stations marked as "open to all vehicles" or those with "Magic Docks" (integrated NACS adapters).
Select Stall in App: Tap 'Charge Your EV' in the app, find your station, and select the specific stall number (e.g., 4A).
Plug In: Connect the CCS cable (or your NACS adapter if using one) to your BMW's charging port.
Start Charging: The charging should begin automatically within a couple of minutes; you can monitor status in the app.
Stop Charging: Tap 'Stop Charging' in the app, wait for the car to release, then press the button on the adapter (if used) to unlatch it, and return the cable.

Magic Docks: These stations have the NACS-to-CCS adapter built-in, so you just plug in; no separate adapter needed.
External Adapters: If the station doesn't have a Magic Dock, you'll need a NACS adapter (like the Lectron Vortex Plus) that connects to the Supercharger's NACS plug before plugging into your BMW's CCS port.
Cable Length: Some Supercharger cables might be too short for BMWs with front-mounted ports, so check the location.

- It's great to know that you can charge a non-Tesla at these superchargers that have the sign saying "Tesla Vehicle Charging Only". Thanks!
- Non Tesla loaders take 2 places when port is on wrong side. Happend during busy chargetime. Frustration by Tesla owners.
- Second video I’ve watched trying to find out peak charging speed. Not nearly so helpful if it’s really slow. Too bad he doesn’t say.
- Yup- no magic docs in Oregon that I could find with the Tesla app 😞 Hah! Then I read down in the comments and noticed that Boardman, OR has a station that would work. The only SuperCharger with the adaptor in Oregon in a town of less than 4,000 people. What's up with that?
- Can't wait for the Tesla NACS Connector and the Magic Dock to essentially "work". A few weeks ago, I decided to take a risk and charge my 2022 Volvo C40 Dual Motor EV at The Tesla Superchargers in Vicksburg, MS. Terrible charging experience! I loved the fact that the CCS Magic Dock was installed, but when I plugged it in, I couldn't really get a charge to go through from the Tesla "Charge your Non-Tesla" app. I tried this at 8 different stalls with the same connection error. So, I don't believe this is ready for Prime Time for Non-Tesla owners. Volvo Cars USA hasn't come out and certified the Magic Dock connection either. I landed up getting stranded in Vicksburg at 10% SOC and had to stay overnight at a hotel so I could charge at a L2 charger to my final destination (Baton Rouge, LA). I have had no issues going I40 East to Nashville, I40 West to Little Rock, AR and even Saint Louis (MO) utilizing Electrify America's DCFC.
