Co-developed with Toyota—whose own version will be released shortly as the CH-R—the Uncharted shares its underpinnings while adopting a character that is distinctly Subaru. It's about seven inches shorter than the Solterra, and its body leans towards the SUV coupe style. In this respect, it draws comparisons to models like the Audi Q4 Sportback, albeit with a rugged twist. Black plastic cladding protects the bodywork, and the design emphasizes durability and angularity.
Subaru of America unveiled the all-new 2026 Subaru Uncharted EV. The all-new, all-electric compact crossover is the latest addition to Subaru's growing electric vehicle lineup. It offers buyers a small, sporty CUV with up to 338 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of less than 5 seconds, fast charging from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard on most models, and an available manufacturer-estimated range of more than 300 miles on a single charge. The all-new 2026 Subaru Uncharted will go on sale at retailers nationwide in early 2026.

- Toyota also had the GT86, which was essentially a Subaru car with a slightly different badge and exterior. Compared to that, this car, Solterra, and Trailseeker are clearly differentiated in appearance between Toyota and Subaru.- Given this is a smaller EV, it should slot in front of the solterra, not between the solterra and the trailseeker. This needs to be in line with the Crosstrek so it should price between $35k and $42k. There's not enough options to justify more than $2k between the Sport and GT trims. GT isn't worth it if all you want is the glass roof, speaker upgrade, and ventilated seats. 90% of their sales will be Sport trim, especially since they included the 360 cameras where you can only get that in the XSE trim on the Toyota. Subaru has a big winner here that you can get a good trim level and not be stuck with 20" wheels.
- I think Subaru did a good job with the design of this car. I really like the interior. I am a longtime Honda CRV owner and I wish Honda would “up their game” on their interior design. This car has a 360 camera and the Honda Touring/Hybrid CRV does not offer the 360 camera. I have never owned an all electric vehicle but this one has intrigued me.
