This is Wheel of Freude: the ultimate technology challenge at CES 2026, Las Vegas, NV featuring the new BMW iX3. Our challengers are tech creators and reviewers Arki Technology from the UK and Brad Canning from Australia, who go head-to-head at the BMW Booth in a series of challenges that immerse themselves in the suite of innovations encased within the debut Neue Klasse model. Determined by the Wheel of Freude, their tasks will have them experiencing: BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant: smarter and more human than ever with Amazon Alexa+ Large Language Models (LLM). In-car entertainment: streaming, video calls and 30+ games turn waiting time to never-ending fun. BMW Charging: shorter and more efficient. Here they will try bidirectional charging, which turns your car into a mobile power bank. Heart of Joy: one of the model’s four superbrains that control the driving dynamics and handling of the car. They will experience the unique Soft Stop function: the smoothest braking process ever achieved by BMW. BMW iX3 50 xDrive: WLTP energy consumption combined: 17,9 - 15,1 kWh/100 km; WLTP CO₂ emissions combined: 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A; WLTP electric range: 679-805km.
BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant: first starting in Germany and the United States from the second half of 2026 with more markets to follow. Gradually for all BMW models with BMW Operating System 9 and X.
