- I bought the outgoing model for my daughter a couple years back. I had not owned a small Japanese "econobox" since college in the late 90s. The first time I drove it 5 hrs to her college I was stunned at it's quiet, composed road manners. It's comfortable, unusually spacious interior, enormous trunk, and ADAS tech with a sound system better than the one in my Alfa Romeo. I was shocked at how good little Japanese cars had gotten. It got almost 40 mpg with no complicated hybrid. If this new one is better than that, for this price there should be no compliants in the country that you can't find a good car for a price almost anyone can afford.

- Definitely would consider this Nissan, especially if the notorious JATCO CVT transmission has become more durable. Don't understand the SR version with nothing mechanical changed. I'll take an SL grade in a more subtle paint color. 😊

- One of the most fun cars I ever owned was a 1991 Sentra SE-R. The car had a slick manual, weighed nothing, and having 140hp from a NA 2.0 engine was pretty much unheard of back then. I think I bought it brand new for about $12k.
