INFO
Like all Nissan vehicles, LEAF has numerous technologies that enhance driver confidence and convenience. It has standard Nissan Safety Shield® 3608 on all grades, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert. It also features Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Intervention and Forward Collision Warning.
Several useful camera systems include standard, class-exclusive Intelligent Around View® Monitor9, which features eight pre-selected angles from which the driver can see a virtual view of the car, providing a more natural viewpoint to see the vehicle’s surroundings when parking or maneuvering. Front Wide View8 is new to LEAF and provides a wide-angle view to the front and sides of the vehicle. It provides additional visibility for “seeing” past parked cars or around corners in tight garages. Additionally, Invisible Hood View8 allows for a virtual view “through” the engine bay to help spot car wash tracks, drive-through curbs or other obstacles.
All LEAF grades feature ProPILOT Assist8, which combines Intelligent Cruise Control with steering assistance to help the driver stay centered in their lane and maintain a set speed and distance to the vehicle ahead.
LEAF additionally includes a Nissan-first safety technology called Secondary Collision Mitigation Braking8. When the air bag control unit detects a collision, it applies the brakes to help reduce the severity of or prevent a secondary crash into another vehicle or hazard.

- Did they resolve that minor issue that earlier Leaf model years have had, of there being no reasonable and affordable solution to having a battery that has degraded to the point, where owners are left with an otherwise perfectly good vehicle that is only good for one very local errand per day? If they have that solution in place, for when the necessity arises, I'll consider another one. Because, aside from that minor inconvenience, my 2014 Leaf has been a good car.- Nissan is very conservative and truthful on declaring the range of their EVs (unlike Tesla). If they said 269miles, it means driving at 75-80mph or colder months. If you drive gently at 60-65mph and it is not extermely cold day, it could go above 300miles (Leaf Platinum). That is based on my Ariya platinum experience.
- Just leased a Dodge Charger Ev w 670hp for 299 month with 299 down thats it... The leaf is an utter joke for the price...Cant compete with the endless amazing EV super cars or luxury offerings available to lease or heavily depreciated with low miles used...
