- As an owner of an FX35 and a QX70, this looks nice, but I think it's lacking in terms of being a spiritual successor to those cars. Part of what made those older cars so special is that they were on the same platform as the 350z, 370z, G35, etc. They were RWD based vehicles which really helped the driving experience be on parr with European rivals. This car, even if the V6 gets added down the road, is essentially a Murano underneath. I understand the business decisions behind this car being a FWD based crossover with people now prioritizing space, fuel economy, and keeping development costs down. It really is more of a reflection of what the Automotive Market is today versus what it was 10-20 years ago. While this is a decent effort from Infiniti, I can't help but grieve the halo period of when we got true drivers cars just because we could. For me personally, I will be holding onto my older models for awhile longer.- Infiniti has rear-biased AWD, which has horrible torque-steer and very non-sporty propulsion. Hard pass on Infiniti, which is just Nissan with some lipstick on it. Stick with BMW, MB, or Genesis for true luxury sport SUVs.
- The real key to making this, or any other existing Infiniti product competitive is to ensure that they will run perfectly well on 87 Octane! A Hybrid option would be great as well.
