Render Reveals 2027 BMW i3 Sedan | ShortsCars

This is the new BMW i3 and it’s not like the old one AT ALL.
It’s very much an electric 3 Series. Same size, same ethos. And it’s the second car to be built on BMW’s new bespoke ‘Neue Klasse’ electric platform, following on the heels of the iX3 crossover.
But this is the more important car. It’s lower, lighter, supposedly more agile and it’ll spawn a new electric M3, too.
It is BMW’s core car, redefined as electric.

INFO
BMW has just started deliveries of the iX3, its first car underpinned by the Neue Klasse architecture. The next in line is the i3 sedan, which is now in the final testing phase. Our photographers caught an i3 prototype while it was tested in Northern Sweden with less camouflage and a refined headlight design. It's no secret that BMW takes an unconventional approach with the next-generation 3 Series sedan. Instead of a unified platform for the gas and electric variants, BMW decided to split the ICE 3 Series sedan from its electric i3 brother. While the combustion model will continue on a revamped variant of the CLAR architecture, the all-electric i3 sits on the Neue Klasse Architecture.

The 2027 BMW i3 Sedan is coming soon, and DPCcars has already predicted what it will look like. Using teasers, spy shots, and the latest information, this render gives you an early look at BMW’s next generation electric 3 Series.
This new electric sedan introduces a completely redesigned front end with a sleek grille panel, ultra thin lighting, and a cleaner overall shape. Built on the Neue Klasse platform, the i3 is expected to deliver improved performance, advanced technology, and a more refined driving experience. With estimates of over 460 horsepower and up to 500 miles of range, this could be a major shift for BMW.

- It’s crazy how Porsche and bmw have figured out that they have to sell ice and electric models alongside each other…. Other companies who created seperate and started all new models/lineup and forgone / discontinued their heritage models are struggling to come back with an a like 4 like competitive model……they are now playing catchup trying to bring back heritage models with next to zero budget…..ie Mercedes and somewhat Audi…

- 1080p in 2026 for a major showcase video is unforgivable. Even a cheap phone can record in 4k ... And you call yourself "the world's leading motoring magazine and website". Laughable
- Actually I like the design better than I imagined, except I wouldn't buy it as it's too little too late. BMW was the ultimate driving machine back in the 90s, now it's just an overpriced polarizing design, that's it.
- BMW giving the classic grills only to the SUVs is a special kind of diabolical. There's no reason the i3 shouldn't have gotten the small vertical kidneys.
