- Our family was so tempted to buy the Pilot and Ridgeline, but the fact that it still has the timing belt really turned us around, and we purchased different brands.- Honda vehicles are very nice. I currently own a 2012 Honda Odyssey EX. My question is, why doesn't Honda yet manufacture hybrid versions of its mid-size and larger models, like the Pilot, Passport, Ridgeline, and Odyssey? It would be an option for those who want a hybrid to buy a hybrid, and for those who want a V6 to buy a V6.
It would create more competition for other brands that already have several hybrids. It's contradictory that smaller vehicles like the Honda CR-V, Civic, and Accord have hybrid engines, since they are smaller and use less fuel, while the larger ones use only V6 gasoline engines, which results in higher fuel consumption. They need to get their act together to sell more.
Why not, for example, a hybrid V6 engine for the Pilot, Passport, Ridgeline, and Odyssey? That would be for the enthusiast who always wants a V6 engine for the highway but the hybrid component for city driving.
- Great vehicle really luvin the refreshed front end design Honda gave the Pilot for 2026. And the New 12.3" touchscreen with Google assistant is also fantastic. I have a 2025 Pilot Black Edition which I like a lot, but this New 2026 Trailsport I could definitely see myself owning in the not too distant future.
