INFO Ferrari and Frecce Tricolori, two Italian excellences star in a special event
Maranello 07 April 2026 Two Italian excellences, Ferrari – represented by the reigning FIA WEC world champions – and the National Aerobatic Team ‘Frecce Tricolori’, met for a day that shone the spotlight on the 499P that will compete in the 2026 season and the Italian Air Force’s MB-339 Pan aircraft, bringing together the drivers starring in competitions on the track and the pilots performing aerobatics in the skies.
Ahead of the start of the 2026 FIA WEC season, the opening round of which will take place at Imola on the weekend of 19 April, this experience was held on 26 February at the Rivolto air base in Friuli, home to the Italian Air Force’s 2nd Wing and the base of the National Aerobatic Team ‘Frecce Tricolori’.
Among static and dynamic activities, the highlight was the flypast of the aircraft while, on the asphalt, the number 51 499P of the Ferrari – AF Corse team was driven by James Calado, with teammate Miguel Molina assisting with the ground operations essential for coordinating the aerobatic display.
Meanwhile, Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi took to the skies, enjoying the opportunity to enter the aircraft cockpits and experience something extraordinary, truly unforgettable, alongside the pilots of the Italian Air Force.
