Distinctive grille
A vertically-oriented grille emulating that of the current model has been adopted for the VX grade, expressing a feeling of luxury. A gray metallic color with a subdued, dark and dignified look with sharp curve thin emblem has been adopted.
Stylish LED headlights
For contributing to enhancing driver's visibility, ease of use, and high-quality feel, newly designed front lamps adopted. LEDs are used for all lamps, reducing power consumption and enhancing visibility. An AHS has been adopted for the headlamps, enhancing visibility at nighttime.
Wireless Charger
A wireless charging system that supports mobile device innovations and market needs has been installed. Individual charging specifications in addition to Qi are also supported, enhancing usability. iPhone 7.5 W charging is supported. The Galaxy rapid charging (10w) specification is also supported.

New Digital display

8 SPEED Automatic with 150kWwith 500Nm. A 1GD-FTV engine with a high level of acceleration performance, fuel economy, quietness, and environmental regulation support has been adopted. The efficiency of the turbocharger has been increased, providing superior off-road pertormance and superior acceleration response when driving in situations ranging from urban areas to high-speed driving.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)
Ensures light steering force at low-speeds and straight-line stability at high-speeds. Contributes to enhanced fuel efficiency. The oil-free system is environment-friendly and easier to maintain. EPS makes it possible to adopt TSS LDA.
4 Wheel Drive function
The full-time active 4WD system helps the car achieve maximum traction and increases vehicle stability, so you can take on any terrain more safely and easily. With manual selection between H4 and L4 for different terrian and purpose.
Adaptive Variable Suspension System (AVS)
The system adjust damping force according to road conditions from small irregularities to large bumps and dips, thus contributing to enhancing ride comfort, handling stability, and ground covering performance on rough roads.
CRAWL Control
A system that allows the vehicle to travel at low speed without accelerating or braking so that the driver can concentrate on steering wheel operation when driving off-road or steep hills.
SAFETY
Satety features are designed to only assist drivers, and are not a substitute for safe driving practices. Drivers should remain in control of their vehicles at all times.
Brake Control System
DAC is available to automatically control the brakes on a steep downslope where deceleration only with engine braking is not sufficiently, thus reducing strain on the driver. DAC has been changed from a function that performs cruise control at 4 km/h at transfer L4, to a function where cruise control can be selected from 4 to 30 km/h at H4. Usability has been enhanced during off-road driving.
Clearance Sonar
A clearance sonar system is available to facilitate intuitively grasping the distance to static objects around the vehicle during low speed driving, thus contributing to reducing a possibility of a collision.
Parking Support Brake (PKSB)
The radar sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and camera pertorm detection to warn the driver, in order to prevent the vehicle from striking static objects from front and rear, moving vehicles to the rear, or pedestrians to the rear when driving at low speed.
Multi-Terrain Monitor / Panoramic View Monitor
Multi-Terrain Monitor helps to judge conditions during off-road driving or checking the obstacles when parking. Four cameras are used to capture footage of the situation around the vehicle. These can be selected using a switch, allowing the driver to check road surface conditions around the vehicle even in blind spot areas. An under vehicle terrain view to check around the rear wheels has been adopted, helping the driver to check the rear wheels and road surface.
Pre-Collision System (PCS)
If the system determines that there is a high possibility of a collision, it is a function that warns the driver, and forcibly applies the brake to avoid the collision or reduces the damage caused by the collision.
Multi-terrain Select (MTS)
The new MTS adjusts the drive force and steering system as well as the hydraulic brake control system, which is only adjustable feature for the current MTS, to enhance ground covering performance on rough roads and controllability.
Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Steering Assist
This system assists the driver in steering when the vehicle is likely to deviate from the current lane or road. If there is still the possibility of deviating from the current lane or road, a warning will be issued to the driver.

- “Land cruiser Prado” is the “light duty” tier of the Land cruiser range that includes “Luxury”, “Light Duty” and “Heavy Duty” Land cruisers. It is as much as a Land cruiser as any other, but is optimized to balance off-roading with on-roading performance and comfort. Old thinking is that you need the toughest off-roader, but the reality is most people including off-roaders do 99% of driving on-road or low intensity off-road terrain. The Prado will do it all, while still being efficient, practical and comfortable on-road. Anyway, it’s a shared platform with the “luxury” 300 series, so basically it’s just a smaller engine, different body shape and slightly optimized (lightened) platform, with the same legal load capacities.- Its a small brother of bigger brother Land Cruiser LC300 (Old model LC200'') which are available only in Middle East, Australia, South East Asia and some other countries.
- How can you back up this comment? Im considering it. The engine is OLD so toyota understands it. The KDSS i believe is inherited from the 300 which is a variant from the 200 (that one is insane) and yes the gearbox is new. Not hating, just curious on what you may know for a fact.
