The BMW Group is entering a new era of sustainable car manufacturing with the groundbreaking start of series production for the all-electric BMW iX3 at its brand-new plant in Debrecen, Hungary. This facility is the first BMW Group car plant to operate entirely on renewable electricity, eliminating fossil fuels and significantly reducing CO₂e emissions.
Designed from the ground up as a BMW iFACTORY, Plant Debrecen combines digital twins, AI-powered quality control, autonomous logistics, and advanced energy recovery systems to create one of the most efficient automotive factories in the world.

First Neue Klasse model: the BMW iX3 rolling off the line in October.
High-voltage battery production on site, ensuring short supply chains.

- Looking forward to this carrying over the the X5 & X7. The more I research this and watch videos the more I'm warming up to it. Not perfect but very well thought out. Hopefully on production dqy it gets all ironed out and with OTA updates it's be dialed in.
- Funny how it's compared to how Apple build their product instead of a comparing to the same industry, that company that builds and designs their own...? Just really does not want to mention and trying to show BMW is innovating their own ha. BUT, BIG BUT, I'm hoping that this will be available in Canada not like the first gen iX3.

- Hope they introduce a 35 or 40 model with 350 mile wltp, 7s 0-60 time and £15k cheaper price. That would be a more practical and sensible car rather than headline grabber.- Looking forward to this carrying over the the X5 & X7.
