2023: The Year of the Rabbit According to the Chinese Zodiac, rabbit years are characterized by peace, prosperity, and longevity. The 2023 Portugieser Automatic 40 Edition “Chinese New Year” Edition perfectly represents a year of optimism and abundance. Limited to 500 pieces, this special edition features a burgundy dial, combined with gold-plated hands and appliques.
A special highlight of this watch is visible only through the sapphire glass case back: The gold-plated oscillating weight takes on the shape of a rabbit.

2022: The Year of the Tiger
The 2022 Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Chinese New Year” features a striking burgundy dial and a matching calfskin strap. The dial impresses with the iconic design in the style of an easy-to-read cockpit instrument, which has become the hallmark of IWC’s Pilot’s Watches.
However, the true highlight of this limited edition only becomes visible when turning the watch and marveling at the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre through the sapphire glass case back. The rotor of the automatic winding system takes the shape of a tiger. Depicted running and leaping, the tiger serves as a reminder of the coming year while emphasizing the traits of people born under the sign of this zodiac animal.

- It’s a winner! 🏛 The steel and brown combo is peak sophistication. Find your next fan favorite at SwissWatchExpo.com.- 🙂Love the Chronograph so much I bought one for a significant birthday! Mine is a silver dial with gold plated indices. You did this range proud Adrian. One of my favourite presentations. Thanks.
- Is the seconds hand moving when hacking with crown pulled normal for watches at this price point? (3:36) I've noticed the portugieser 40mm doing the same when I checked it out in person. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of hacking for setting accurate time?
