Do I need to install a dedicated charger at my residence?
While you can charge your EV from a regular 15A socket, having a dedicated home charger makes life a lot easier. Here's why:
Safer charging: Built-in protection features give you complete peace of mind.
Controlled access: Only you (or those you authorize) can use it, thanks to secure locking and RFID access.
Faster charging: An AC Fast Charger can charge your EV almost twice as fast as a 15A socket.
Can I install the home charger myself? Or using my building electrician?
EV charger installation works best with trained technical expertise - understanding wiring, conduiting, sanctioned load, feeder cable size, and other electrical parameters ensures safe and optimal performance. For peace of mind and best results, your home charger should be installed by our authorized installation partner.

I have a 7.2kW AC Fast Charger but I do not have the required connected load at my home. What do I do and what is the impact?
To use your AC Fast Charger at its full capacity of 7.2 kW, you need either:
A fully dedicated single-phase connection used only for EV charging, or
A 3-phase connection, with one phase dedicated for EV charging.
If only a single-phase supply is available, the charger will adjust its power automatically to a lower rating until a 3-phase upgrade is made or the required load is available.
For best results:
Install a dedicated meter for charging.
If sharing power with other equipment, always dedicate one phase out of three exclusively for the EV charger.
Ensure your home's connected load is above 7.2kW.

- I don't understand their strategy of reducing the torque output by such significant amount. First the Nexon evmax/long range nexon's torque output was reduced by 36nm( from 250nm to 214nm) and now punch ev sees the 36 nm reduction in torque. , Even the Currv ev produces the same torque as the Nexon ev long range and Creta ev gives more real-world range with more torque than the currv ev!- I love your videos....just a feedback - please also focus on models other than top end
- Seems they can bring harrier ev at 16 lakh in future as the 1kwh of lithium cell cost inly 100usd
