In case I am unable to charge my EV what should I do?
1. Ensure the vehicle is turned OFF.
2. Ensure the MCB is switched ON.
3. Check that the emergency stop button is released (rotate clockwise to release).
4. If the issue persists, please contact the Charging Call Center for assistance.

What should I do if I lose my RFID card for my home charger?
If your RFID card is lost, you can get a replacement through Exicom by contacting their customer care (details are on your charger). Standard charges apply for the new card and its configuration with the charger.

How much faster can I charge my EV with a 7.2 kW charger than a 3.3 kW charger?
Charging speed is doubled with the 7.2kW ACFC charger. Check out your product brochure for further information on charging duration.

How many chargers are typically needed for a society?
One community charger typically serves 3-4 vehicles in a society. Additional Chargers can be installed on need basis.

How do I pay for EV charging at a community charger?
You can pay through the Charge Point Operator (CPO) app/RFID as per the pre-defined rate agreed upon by the society.

Are there government mandates supporting community charging?
Yes! The Model Building Byelaws (MBBL 2016) and Ministry of Power guidelines now require that at least 20% of parking spaces in new housing be allocated for EV chargers. Check out the latest guidelines here! Tata Motors is also working with key stakeholders to implement the Right to Charge initiative, inaugurated by SIAM (Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers). This ensures that every Indian has the right to install a home charger within their owned premises.

How much does it cost to charge my EV in public?
The cost is calculated as: (Total units consumed x per-unit tariff) + 18% GST.
Currently, the public tariff ranges between 14-24 per unit, which works out to around 4 less per km compared to an ICE vehicle.

How long will it take me to charge at a public charger?
Charging time depends on your car's state of charge (SOC), the charger's capacity, and battery/charger temperature. On average, a DC fast charger takes about 30-55 minutes to charge from 20-80%.

- Nice updates. Awaiting 22 kw AC, 200 kw DC fast charging from Tata !!! CATL Naxtra Sodium or Donut lab Solid state battery would be good too
- They just made minor changes to the design and gave a bigger battery pack. I don't think this is a proper facelift, but nevertheless it is by far the best car you can by under 15 lakh, with good real usable range.
