I need support related to the earthing for the charger. Who should I approach?
Proper earthing is essential for safe EV charger installation. While it's not included in the complimentary installation, our TATA Power technician will guide you on arranging it through a licensed electrician, ensuring your earthing is safe and verified during installation.

I've purchased a used TATA EV / am shifting to a new home and need help installing a home charger. How can I avail these services?
TATA.ev offers home charger installation support based on your requirements. Please dial 1800 209 8989 to learn more about the process, associated costs, and to schedule a site survey.

I live in a large residential society. Can I install a dedicated home charger in my allocated parking?
Yes! Government guidelines encourage societies and RWAs to allow EV chargers at each resident's allocated parking. To install a home charger, you'll need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your society authorities, which you can share with our installation partner to complete the setup smoothly.

What if my society does not allow home charger installation in my parking?
If your society or RWA doesn't provide an NOC, let the Tata Power technician know during the site survey. They'll first engage with your society directly. If the issue continues, it will be escalated to Tata Motors. Should installation still not be possible, you can explore community charging solutions. Check out our Community Charger FAQs to learn more!

How safe is a home charger for residential installation? Is there any risk of electrocution?
Home chargers are built with multiple layers of safety and are completely safe for residential use.
They're usually installed at a recommended height of 1.5 m above the ground.
No power flows through the charging gun until it's securely connected to your EV, eliminating electrocution risk.
The cabling is armored to prevent cuts or breaks.
In case of earth leakage, the charger automatically disconnects power.
For full safety, a proper earthing connection is mandatory and, Tata Power can assist in verifying it during installation.

Is it safe to install the home charger in open parking where it may be exposed to sunlight or rain?
The charger is weatherproof and IP54-rated, offering protection against dust and water splashes from all directions. However, for enhanced safety and to prolong the charger's life, we recommend installing it in a covered parking space or ensuring adequate shade to minimize direct exposure to sunlight and rain.

- Thank you for this information sir .... What about 2026 new punch ev facelift to empowered+s vs 3xo ev Ax7L how do they stack against each other
- No rear AC vents, Rear Disc brakes, Rear arm rest cup holder, Only one usb c charger, Absolutely disappointing TATA with the cost cutting. Couldve given all of these and charged the same price
- Now we have sodium ion batteries. These batteries have higher charging cycle count, have almost no fire issue, is cheaper than LFP as Sodium is quite abundant. So as we were just getting used to LFP batteries we now have Sodium Ion batteries. They are now making prismatic cells as well and within few months we should start seeing these batteries in market as well. All in all those who bought LFP batteries thinking that they are buying cutting edge are in for a shock. Buy an EV only as your second car. I have had instances where I had to travel quite far at moments notice, cannot do that with EVs.
- Just curious to know whether there will be a driving video of Majestor anytime soon…also is there any difference in the weight and dynamics when compared to the Gloster? If not I believe it should drive the same as before since it continues to use the Gloster engine and transmission
