Still in its concept phase, Project Nightingale’s aesthetic is grounded in the belief that the most exquisite design emerges from precision, where function and form are inseparable.
Project Nightingale also draws inspiration from Rolls-Royce's red-badged 'EX' experimental prototypes of the 1920s — particularly 16EX and 17EX — some of the rarest
and most desirable motor cars in Rolls-Royce’s history.
These foundations informed Project Nightingale's three core principles.

The sun’s embrace, the wind’s gentle caress; a symphony of sensation orchestrated for a select few.

The motor car’s name derives from ‘Le Rossignol’ (French for ‘the nightingale’), a residence on Sir Henry Royce’s Côte d’Azur estate, built for his designers and engineers.

24-inch wheels are inspired by the propellers of a yacht viewed from beneath the waterline: forms that appear to be in continuous motion even when stationary.

The production concept’s design is further dramatised by a Piano Boot which opens sideways, transforming a functional moment into a considered act of arrival.

A leather-covered saddle armrest at the centre of the cabin aligns precisely
with the Coachline that runs the length of the bonnet and to the rear central brake light.

a tail of consequence
A single longitudinal brake lamp is placed directly at the centreline on the rear of Project Nightingale, recalling the speed stripes of great Streamline Moderne design.

Beneath it, a recessed chrome number plate surround is set into the lower rear face with the precision of a watch bezel: a small detail that rewards the closest attention.

Project Nightingale is a canvas, destined to once again redefine perfection.

The figures on fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions shown are determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. Figures are intended for comparability purposes. The fuel consumption you achieve under real life driving conditions and CO2 produced will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted after registration, variations in driving styles, weather conditions and vehicle load.

The figures marked with (*) are based on the new test (WLTP) and are translated back into outgoing test (NEDC) in order to ensure a comparison between the vehicles.

- It’s a hideous, amateurish design, like a client who pays three million dollars and then asks Rolls Royce to replicate the “amazing” design his five-year-old son came up with. I don’t understand why traditional car brands are so determined to destroy their own identity.
