- It’s a car for the Chinese market. It’s what the Chinese customers want. The rest of the world might say it’s ugly but it doesn’t matter, there is nothing you can do. I, too, miss the old German/European style :( but I am pretty sure it will come back at some point.

- The Front end is very nice and Masculine without being too over the top. The Rear end is “ Okay “. I personally think BMW fumbled the ball as far as the Interior is concerned. Mercedes Benz knows how to lay out the Interior of an Automobile in General.

- Jumped from your new Mercedes S-class review. That one makes this new 7 series an classical beauty, lol.

I bought a used G31 520D station wagon last year. I purposely did so because the G60 design of the dash is totally atrocity to me. That long horizontal screen is a prototype should never been published. I'm gladly seeing this new 7 series inherits the G11 generation design.

Putting all instruments behind the wheel to the HUD is not for everyone, but I would say I like this design. With the introduction of the HUD, I seldom look at those instruments other than the simplified map to check how the next curve goes, when driving in the moutainous area. If that map can be project to the HUD too, then these instrument display + HUD is perfectly easy to look for me.

- While the exterior design team has done a significant and much needed upgrade in looks, which it is successful in doing, the interior team has made a mess of the main screen and passenger screen. It is truly ugly and unbecoming of a car of this class. It almost looks like a Playstation module. Sorry, that would be insulting Playstation. They need to do something soon about it. Maybe an LCI on the current LCI/facelift.
Adrian van Hooydonk, you’re losing it man. I am a two tone i7 user. I am not upgrading to this ridiculous interior ! Where is the class ?
