- Then take it to Nurburgring. If you don't run this car at Nurburgring you are not showing customers what your cars that regular Joe's can afford are capable of. Chevrolet has run many different Camaro models over the last 15 years. Running the GTD and GT mk4 race cars are cool but you need to run other models or it seems like sandbagging
- I saw Richard Hammond and his Dark Horse upgrades - was hoping this car would be a manual like his. I understand why they’ve gone with dual clutch but I have had dual clutch track cars like a Porsche GT3 RS. The problem with dual clutches they’re great on the track, but it takes away the connection and emotion and involvement of a stick shift on the street. if these guys made a dark horse SC with manual, I would sell my current Porsche 6 speed and buy one.
- I used to love Ford—I’ve owned quite a few over the years and still have an F-150 and a Mustang GT. But the pricing over the last few years has gotten… ambitious. $200k+ for a Dark Horse build, $300k+ for a GTD, and Shelby models starting around $180–220k? For a Mustang? What’s disappointing is losing that enthusiast sweet spot. Cars like the GT350 and GT500 were expensive, sure—but they actually made sense. Now, unless you’re spending supercar money, you’re not getting the best versions—and even then, no manual, no real high-performance convertible… just exclusivity and price tags. At this point, it’s hard not to look at Porsche. Never thought I’d say that as a longtime Ford guy, but apparently that’s the new comparison Ford is aiming for.
- Laziness on the name from ford. previous GT500 motor and drive train on the S650 body with a few tweaks. Get ready for the same body panel alignment issues and dealer mark ups.
