- I've mentioned my car before in Sarah's reviews, but I'm still amused by how similar the Miata is to my Yaris iA, which is a re-badged Mazda2. The iA weighs about the same, has a smaller engine, and uses lesser-quality material for things like the seats. And it's a 4-door sedan. But looks quite similar on the inside, and has the same driving characteristics (within the limits of the smaller engine amd torsion beam), and is quite wonderful for a cheap sub-compact. Mine is up to 185,000 miles and still runs great, and car forums have several mentions from people withover 200,000 miles on theirs. I would expect the Miata, with better components, to have a similar, or better, lifespan.

- I am lucky enough to have a few 'fun' cars including a couple from Italy. However, if it ever came to the point that it was decried that "Thou shalt only have one fun car", I would keep my NB Miata over all of them. After all, it is so much more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. 😁

- I have a 24 rf. Some sway bars, coilovers, and aggressive alignment turns it into an absolute menace. I've had all the fast cars, M cars, AMG, corvette, and the miata is my favorite. you can romp it 24/7 and low/easy maintenance.

- Finally purchased my Miata in 2023....always wanted one as a fun "second car". At 75 I finally fulfilled one of my long time dreams. Thoroughly enjoyed it for most of the time I had it. Almost 3 years later I got a bit tired of shoe-horning myself in and out (I am 5' 10"....not that tall) and got a bit tired of the lack of any storage or places to put things. I still wanted a convertible and something fun to drive. So, I found the perfect solution, a Cooper Mini convertible. Great car, as quick (BMW turbo 4 engine) and maneuverable as the Miata and way more spacious and comfortable.

- nother Miata review? I don't mind, very fun and insightful videos still. And Miata's are just great cars. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 myself. Bought it with 228k ish kms on it. Needed some maintenance and replacement of wear parts (brakes, suspension, exhaust etc) but besides that nothing insane. And it's normal on car with that age and kms to be needing some replacement parts for it. It sits now at 280k+ kms still a joy to ride. It's my daily car and next to my bike it's kind of a 2nd vehicle too. I am looking around if I need to replace it go with another Mazda 3 but probably newer since these are not that common or completely rusted or in need of massive maintance. Miata would be cool too but not great for bigger stuff to load in. Solid cars though definitely wouldn't mind owning one of them.
