Nice video, but pity you still use animal-derived products in your cars. There are perfectly capable materials to replace wool, and they don’t require exploiting another sentient being for the sake of “luxury.” Still some way to go, Volvo.

- Timeless indeed. Which is rare these days. Rolls-Royce is another who is unchanged since 1960s! It's still ages like fine vine. Their design just refuse to change.
- It's just so frustrating that in the Volvo UK configurator for the XC60/XC90 is still live, however you can't order your configuration as they discontinued the current model, so you can only choose from the available stock. So there is no point to configure as it is still the old/current "short range" model. I don't understand why they are not updating the configurator with the new specs and prices so people can go and place orders for the new "Long Range" models(like they have it in Germany). But I assume the black hole or income decrease is not a huge deal for them...no wonder they had to change the CEO..., For a brand who changed to an agency-style sales model (Tesla like) retailer, their website is their prime selling tool. So keep it hanging in the air while they've done the announcement on the new versions but unable to order it is a huge mistake...
- Oo, my God, is my favorite car. I still have the old model from 2012, XC60, 4WD, many accessories, special wheel 🛞 and I cannot have enough of this care. I love my Hartman/Kardon sound system. I love it. Thank you Volvo!
I hopw soon, I will ba able to get the new model.
- I like your reviews , your knowledge and presentation but I need to give you a friendly recommendation that , you should dress more neat , sharp , a bit more formal ; at least to fit your voice character , age and the cars you stand in the same frame. You will be thankful soon.
- With all good intentions: why would you buy the plug in hybrid?
The EX60 now offers a range and charging speed that really doesn’t make me want to get a petrol. And for those who say: I don’t want to get the EV since I can’t charge, don’t get the PHEV since you can’t charge that as well and the regular petrol will drive better with way less weight.
What I am missing in this review: how much power is the electric motor. In the old one it just wasn’t enough to drive normally (merging on the motorway) so the petrol did kick in. And I did use to drive a XC60 T6 recharge and have an EX60 on order.
- It's not a 240, but it sure is a lasting design that stays surprisingly modern. Wild that governments and people resist going electric, everything is better in an EV and Volvo knows it, too.
- Just a facelift, but here's the shittification checklist: (1) novelty door handles (nope), (2) missing rear wiper (nope), (3) icons instead of climate control knobs (yup) (4) wobbly/touch plastic instead of tactile buttons (yup), (4) missing windows switches (nope), (5) non-opening sunroof (yup). So kinda ok but not great, similar to current German cars.
- For me, the choice would be this extended range XC60...but the many special qualities of the new EX60 probably trumps what I would choose after driving both. BTW Volvo's interim CEO mentioned, at the EX60 launch, that their goal was to have the EX60 and XC60 comparably priced at similar build levels.
- I think this modernised design approach on top of their legacy elegant design looks much better than the extreme modern, utilitarian one we've seen on their full electric models.
- Still the best looking SUV out there for me and that includes the EX60. Volvo has always gone for a long model life with gradual improvements over time - this tends to deliver a car which is very strong in the areas that matter to buyers. Sure, its not the sexiest from a mechanical perspective but Volvos best sellers rarely were and the fact this has now become their best selling vehicle, suggests their customers dont really care that much about the number of cylinders or how quickly it goes round the Nurburgring. Personally, I dont care for SUVs, but I have had the S60 variant of this platform and it was an excellent car. If I was forced to choose an SUV, it would be this or possibly the new EX60.
