INFO
Stellantis recently held a production celebration for the refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica at the Windsor Assembly Plant (WAP), marking the next chapter in the company’s long-standing minivan leadership. The milestone was commemorated with an employee celebration on the plant floor, featuring remarks from Stellantis and Unifor senior leaders.

Chrysler invented the minivan 43 years ago when the first “magic wagon” rolled off the line at WAP. Today, the Chrysler Pacifica remains the best-selling and most awarded minivan in Canada and the United States and continues to stand apart as the only vehicle in the segment to offer standard Stow ’n Go seating and storage in both the second and third rows.

The significantly refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica further evolves the modern minivan with a distinctive new exterior design, upgraded interior finishes, expanded technology offerings and additional available safety features, all designed to provide greater comfort, flexibility and confidence for customers.

Chrysler has also strengthened the Pacifica’s value proposition in Canada, with price reductions of up to $7,200 on select 2027 Pacifica Limited and Pinnacle models. The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica Select AWD is now the lowest-priced, seven passenger, AWD minivan in Canada at $57,995 MSRP, while the well-equipped, Canadian-exclusive Chrysler Grand Caravan continues to offer exceptional value with an MSRP under $50,000.

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Grand Caravan are scheduled to arrive in dealerships this summer.

2027 Chrysler Pacifica Highlights
The refreshed lineup introduces meaningful upgrades across design, safety and technology, including:

New front fascia with vertical LED headlamps and illuminated “piano keys” grille signature
Updated Chrysler wing badge and rear liftgate appliqué for a more modern presence
Expanded personalization with new exterior colours, including Olive Green, and new wheel designs
Refined interior elements, including Satin Chrome Chrysler wing badge and updated accents
Pinnacle-exclusive Blue Agave interior with premium Copper Alloy detailing and new seat pattern
Optional enhanced Safety Sphere Package with upgraded visibility features, including Blind-spot View and ParkSense camera activation

Assembled in Canada
For more than 40 years, Chrysler minivans have been proudly assembled at the Windsor Assembly Plant. Since 1984, more than 16.6 million minivans have been sold globally — the majority assembled in Windsor. Over the past decade alone, more than 1.15 million Chrysler Pacifica models have been produced exclusively at WAP.
Today, the plant’s 6,000 employees produce both the Chrysler minivan family and the award winning Dodge Charger lineup, recently recognized as the 2026 North American Car of the Year (NACTOY).

Today’s event also highlights Windsor Assembly Plant’s recently added third production shift, welcoming more than 1,700 new employees to support anticipated demand for the Chrysler minivans and Dodge muscle cars.

Since 2022, Stellantis has made significant investments to transform Windsor Assembly Plant and its Canadian operations overall, including:

$1.9 billion CAD investment to support next-generation vehicles at WAP
Launch of the Dodge Charger Daytona BEV (2024) and Charger SIXPACK models (2025–2026)
Implementation of the STLA Large architecture
Installation of 301 new robots and advanced manufacturing systems
410 modified stations to enhance efficiency and quality
Expansion of engineering and EV ecosystem jobs in Windsor

- It badly needs a safety features like 360 cam view, good lane centering tech. I am impressed with Subaru's safety tech and Honda Odyssey's lane centering, they are very good. This is from an owner of both. But I really would love to buy a Pacifica, just give us all the safety tech already, it's not like they don't have it, they are all in the parts bin, just what is with American automakers?

- Awful front-end redo. They wanted the front to look like a Kia while the rest of it has the same eggy shape that it's had for 10 years. And nothing else is new.

Apparently Chrysler cheaped out more on the third row power options than before. Pre-refresh, the Limited trim had a USB-C and USB-A port on the right side, just like on the backs of the front seats.

Now it's just USB-A by the looks of it.

The left side has never had its own USB ports and still doesn't. My guess is because the rear liftgate is single motor, and the motor is on the right side, so Chrysler is just tapping that existing electrical wiring on the right side of the car to add USB ports. No such wiring exists on the left side of the car in the back, so no USB ports.

- Is the logo even a logo? Saddest front end refresh ever. These LED strip lights look so over done. And how much does it cost to replace one? I don't care if the bulb is halogen or led but just please let it be just a bulb to replace when they burn out in 2 years not an entire $700 assembly.

- No. This is not it. The front does not match with the rest of the car, and the interior…get me out of here! The new logo kind of reminds me of those little pin wings that United Airlines and others gave, and also of Aston Martin…at a VERY worse scale. Is Chrysler even trying? The other minivans are better than this junk. The stow and go seats are nice, but I’m pretty sure that Honda/Toyota/Kia will find a way to copy that, and make it better. I’d find the interior of a Honda odyssey to be better than this.
